If you are wondering where and when Sugar & Spice was born, let me tell you a little story.  First, let me mention that I am disabled and I have an autistic son, who by the way is the love of my life. I didn't tell you that to gain sympathy, but I just wanted you to understand my life a little bit.  My plate is pretty full.  But one day, about 5 years ago, I needed to go to Michael's Craft Store.  I don't even remember what I originally went there to get.  I was walking the aisles just looking at this and that and I discovered the bead aisles.  I was amazed.  They had so many pretty beads and then sudden inspiration hit.  Now, I have to tell you that I have never been very good at crafts.  In fact, I'm terrible.  I used to teach Sunday School at church, and I had the 3–6-year-old class.  Let me tell you, their crafts always look so much better than mine.  How embarrassing.  As I said, inspiration struck and I thought to myself "I'm going to make a bracelet".  So, I bought the beads and supplies and headed home.  That night I did indeed make that bracelet.  It turned out so pretty and sparkly.  I was amazed at myself.  I started making jewelry and was wearing it everywhere.  People were commenting, people were interested.  Soon, I had family and friends requesting certain items.  This was such a thrill and I loved it.  I started setting up at farmer's markets, flea markets, craft shows and anywhere I could set up.  I even started having people mention that they had seen me at a previous venue and that was so awesome.  I also got my jewelry into a couple of stores.  I wasn't so good when I started out but I learned many things along the way. I just started out on Shopify a few months ago.  I am still in the process of adding more products   I hope you've enjoyed this story, and that you will enjoy looking at my products.
